Dutch Meatballs With Beer

Meatballs in beer is a classically Dutch winter warmer, traditionally served as an evening meal in the colder months when the sun disappears early. If you can get it, this recipe is most authentic when served with a Dutch beer – Heineken springs to mind – but any lager will do. This tasty dish is a winner with the fussiest of eaters and kids just love them! This dish works equally well as a main or entree, or even as party food – serve with small skewers handy.
