This is the video that was given to the media at the Friends of Day Laborer press conference that was held on Saturday, February 11, 2007.

The video documents the assault that occurred at the El Cajon day labor site. There is also video of Jeff Schwilk assaulting videographers at the Fairmount day labor site.

This video includes footage from the Minutemen rally in McGonigle Canyon of November 11, 2006. The Minutemen singing an array of patriotic songs is from the canyon. Their purpose at the canyon was to protest and remove the migrants who had been living there for 30 years. The Minutemen felt that they had a right to move people out of their homes and steal from them. It was later discovered that the Minutemen went into the canyons before their protest and stole the bikes, cooking utensils, and propane tanks of the people living there...

We have been busy in San Diego trying to shut down the racists.

This is Christi of the San Diego Minutemen. This footage was all taken one Saturday morning. It is pretty self-explanatory but a full profile on Christi will be available soon. As you can see from this video she is full of hate and does not value the lives of human beings.

We think it is important that as many people as possible see the Minutemen in action. It is always easy to believe that they are totally ridiculous, and they are. But they are also completely dangerous, violent, racist, and their actions have real consequences. They can be held responsible for day laborers not being able to eat or pay their rent. These workers are almost all documented but it does not really matter to the Minutemen and they say as much.

Even Wilma is surprised that she is involved is such obscene acts of racism and abuse!

Her sign reads, "U.S. Jobs for U.S. Citizens". Was she sure surprised when she found out the day laborers are all documented workers? (We can only hope)

Wilma tries to keep the peace between the police, the Minutemen, the counter-protesters, and the day laborers. Her main goal is to keep the Minutemen from interacting with the counter-protesters or the day laborers. Any interaction that the Minutemen have with non-Minutemen always makes her uncomfortable...

Ken’s defining feature is a tear underneath his right eye. The tear tattoo is most commonly seen on people who have done serious time in prison or have murdered someone. Ken claims he does not have a tear for either of these reasons. His story is that he was watching the news and saw some protesters who were in favor of peace and he was so sad that he got a tear tattoo. This is one of the most ridiculous stories we have ever heard.

Ken is often seen holding some of the most extreme and offensive signs against day laborers. He drives a very large tan and red old SUV that is often seen with two large United States flags flying from it or a flag that says Don’t Tread On Me (a common U.S. Marine Corp flag).

Wednesday, October 18, we will be gathered at the Escondido City Hall to denounce their passage of a city ordinance that will make it illegal to rent to undocumented immigrants. The passage of this ordinance will result in racial profiling by all city officials and renters. Please join us there at 5 p.m. to make it clear to the City Council of Escondido that their discrimnatory actions have not gone unnoticed and that we recognize this ordinance as an attack on the Latino community. The address is 201 N. Broadway in Escondido.

Some of you may or may not have seen the Minutemen in action at day laborer sites. They are there to intimidate the workers and potential employers. Their tactics involve physically and verbally abusing the day laborers, verbally and physically abusing non-violent observers and counter-protesters, verbally and physically abusing passersby and Home Depot customers, and rushing the vehicles of employers to take pictures and yell threats of jail time and fines for the employers.
